Veneer

AM 3 - PALA
PALA is a refined wood veneer collection born from the collaboration between Muka and renowned Indonesian architect Andra Matin. Designed by Andra Matin, PALA reflects his signature architectural approach—clean, grounded, and harmoniously connected to nature. This collection showcases a delicate balance between natural elegance and modern sensibility, transforming simple surfaces into expressions of quiet sophistication.
At the heart of PALA lies yellow poplar wood, chosen for its smooth grain and adaptable character. The veneer features a soft, subtle finish that celebrates the inherent qualities of the wood without overpowering them. Its defining feature is its light brown hue—reminiscent of the pala spice from which it takes its name—bringing a warm, earthy tone that feels both familiar and elevated. This gentle color tone enhances the visual softness of the material, making it a versatile choice for a range of contemporary interior applications.
What sets PALA apart is its quiet presence—never loud, always graceful. With a surface that responds beautifully to natural light, the veneer subtly shifts in tone throughout the day, creating a dynamic yet understated visual effect. It’s a material designed not to dominate a space, but to enrich it—offering a tactile and aesthetic experience that aligns perfectly with Andra Matin’s architectural values: authenticity, clarity, and timeless simplicity.
