Lawww Design Bureau’s interior for Di Bawah Pohon Barber Shop creates a calm yet characterful atmosphere by balancing the rawness of dark stone flooring with the softness of muted green tiles. The elongated layout is carefully organized around a central circulation path, with a continuous row of barber stations on one side and a built-in waiting bench on the other. Warm, sculptural lighting adds a subtle glow against the otherwise restrained material palette, giving the space a refined and contemporary character.
A distinctive element of the design is the use of Muka River Flow wood veneer, whose flowing, organic grain introduces movement into the geometric composition of the interior. The veneer is applied across the countertops, ceiling details, and selected built-in elements, creating a visual connection between different parts of the space. Its intricate pattern contrasts beautifully with the regular grid of the green tiles, bringing a natural and tactile quality into the barber shop without overwhelming the clean architectural language.
The result is a barber shop that feels both functional and thoughtfully designed, where material, proportion, and lighting work together to create a relaxed experience. The combination of River Flow veneer, green ceramic tiles, dark flooring, and black barber chairs gives Di Bawah Pohon a distinctive identity that feels contemporary while remaining warm and approachable.
