Fold Pavilion @ IBT

Designed by Spatial Sonata

2024

Our collaboration with Spatial Sonata represents a harmonious fusion of MUKA Surface's cutting-edge materials and Spatial Sonata's visionary design approach. Together, we aim to showcase a transformative experience in architectural solutions, where aesthetics meet functionality in unprecedented ways. Our collaboration is set to redefine industry standards, highlighting the synergy between sophisticated surfaces and architectural ingenuity.

Two sides, one material, one gesture. Challenging the notion of presenting surfaces and finishes inside a temporary space, it is crucial for the material to act as a space-forming element, where modularity plays an important role in creating an efficient use of material modules.

A wide variety of flexible MUKA surfaces were bent, hung, and stacked. These gestures support the idea of a lightweight partition that creates airy spaces, where a single sheet of MUKA surface can serve both architectural and interior purposes. It functions as the face we see from afar, the floor we step on, the wall we touch, the texture that we feel, and the ceiling that covers us. And finally, everything becomes part of the composition.

We also want to extend a big thank you to our incredible partners for their collaboration in making  our booth a success! Shout out to Roots Lab for their outstanding booth construction, Dh Lightingdesign for being our trusted lighting supplier, and blackwood providing exceptional furniture. Your contributions are invaluable, and we couldn't have done it without you!
