KAYANTARA is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the Javanese pendopo, a pavilion where architecture becomes a place of pause, gathering, and quiet reflection. Designed by Rumanara for MUKA's IndoBuildTech 2026 booth, the space celebrates the timeless beauty of wood through a restrained and thoughtful architectural language. A rhythmic timber lattice floats overhead, creating a sense of openness while defining the pavilion beneath. Vertical veneer panels, woven textures, and carefully layered wooden elements shape a sequence of spaces that gently unfold, inviting visitors to slow down and experience the material through every step of the journey.

More than an exhibition booth, Kayantara is an exploration of wood, light, and stillness. Warm, filtered lighting softly illuminates the natural veneers, revealing the richness of their grain, texture, and craftsmanship while creating an atmosphere of calm and intimacy. Inspired by the philosophy of the Javanese pendopo, the pavilion blurs the boundary between exhibition and sanctuary, where craftsmanship and contemplation exist in harmony. Every architectural gesture, from the open timber canopy to the sculptural screens and natural materials, reflects MUKA's belief that wood is not only a material, but an experience.
